Lent to the whole congregation went to the Easter confessions. There was a strict rule: The parishioners were divided into groups. First, the couples, second week, the young men, unmarried men, third week, the young women, including single, even if they were old. In the first Easter week the couple were out with the Easter confession. On those days was a feast day for the affected people. Went to church for confession, communion. Back home was specially cooked for them and served well. On this day, our mother could not do anything. In the afternoon we went back to church, for instruction was later called this a week and the youths were back a week later, the young women in it. When the young women this year was elected head of a virgin. On Palm Sunday, I stood with my friends at the church and the Virgin boss came up to us and said such a nice way. "Be so kind to me and carry the Virgin Mary in the procession" We told the same. Then came the Feast of Corpus Christi, a beautiful weather, all was in festive mood. Now there was a new thrust in church. The bells started ringing in, it was one of elation. The procession was attended Neustifter throughout the region and well known. Now we took off our jackets and left them in the church. All standard-bearer and other carriers did the same. They wore white shirts, ties and dark trousers. Now we joined one with the Virgin Mary in the number of young women. In the Gospel we had to stand together closely, moved because of lack of space - now I wished, "If it would be a procession every Sunday." The festive dress of the girls are stripped and it caused in me a whole from its own magic, could not interpret it. I might also ask anyone.
